I'm a freelance photographer with experience in all types of photography. Including weddings, debutante balls and home portraits along with club presentations. In fact I will take on most commissions that come my way. The last six years I have been working for a company that specialises in photographing children in Day Care Centres and Kindergartens. Much of the work is in different towns of Southeast Australia.
My afternoons are my own and that gives me a chance to visit places of interest that might be in the area. Doing so also gives me a chance to add images to my stock library site. The entries in this blogg are excepts from my 2002-2003 travel journals.
Taking advantage of the Internet I subscribed to a number of sites that allow me to show my images. Feel free to hit on any links you find in the text.

After a seven hour drive last Tuesday I arrived at my pre-booked accommodation in Griffith. I have settled into this Budget motel and although it isn't as comfortable as the motel I usually stay in, it does serve good meals. I have been having both breakfast and my evening meals delivered to my unit, Which has saved me an evening trip to the [Travel Journal]

Wodonga 2003

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
20 July 2003
It was eleven-thirty in the morning and time to leave for my trip to Wodonga. I have been to this town, which lies just south of the border between New South Wales and Victoria. I usually stay at a Best Western motel. This time the company had booked accommodation in a Budget motel. I have stayed in many establishments since I started with [Travel Journal]

Camperdown 2003

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
15 July 2003
After my morning session in Melbourne I started my drive to the Victorian country town of Camperdown. Joined the freeway at Blackburn Road and followed it all the way into the city, through the Balmain Tunnel and over the West Gate Bridge. I was still on the Princess Highway when Geelong came into sight. About an hour later I arrived at the pre-booked [Travel Journal]

The trip to the ACT yesterday was over more back roads through the town of Cookardinia. At an intersection that leads to Holbrook I found an old abandoned homestead, I decided to get the video out and capture the building on tape.
This is the first time I have been back to Canberra since the summer bushfires, as yet I haven’t seen any [Travel Journal]

It was seven forty-five when I drove out of the motel in Culcairn and continued my way north along the Olympic Highway. It had been raining most of the night and the paddocks looked water logged. I’m not prepared to say the drought has broken in this part of the state but the locals tell me that they are getting more of this [Travel Journal]

It was raining when I got up and had to make a quick dash to the dinning room for breakfast, which was very filling.
Paid for my accommodation then made my way up the street to the kindergarten. It was a nine-thirty start and found the staff friendly and helpful. I’m starting to like wet weather because I can talk the staff into [Travel Journal]

Decided not to drive back to Melbourne but headed to the next town where I was booked to work on Monday. I left Temora and followed the southern road to Junee. It’s a large town with many grand buildings. I was only passing through and zigzagged my way through the main shopping area and continued southeast until I saw a sign indicating the [Travel Journal]

Into New South Wales via Albury, the weather wasn’t the best and the journey away from the border was uneventful.
At one point I stopped to photograph some interesting clouds. As I walked back to the car I noticed a small rainbow on the horizon, then saw it belonged to a much larger splash of color. It stretched across the sky in [Travel Journal]

Kyabram 2003

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
16 June 2003
From time to time I find myself in a town that I have not visited before and that’s good. On the other hand because I have been with this company so many years its inevitable, return trips to areas are becoming more normal. The first year is great because I can explore places of interest. Some are worth a return visit but most [Travel Journal]

About nine-thirty in the morning I was in my car, starting a five-hour drive to Griffith in NSW. One stop along the way was to photograph a small flock of sheep. All this year I have been looking for a single black sheep within a flock. The one I found had a mate and it took nearly half a roll of film trying [Travel Journal]
