CARE SERVICES
FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV

The goal of the HIV Care Services program is to expand access to services for severe need HIV-positive Asians and Pacific Islanders, in order to improve their health and quality of life through a culturally and linguistically competent interdisciplinary model of care that places primary care at the center of the service delivery system. Services are available office-based or mobile: in the clients' homes, in clinics and outreach settings where clients congregate.

NAVIGATOR Client Guide

Our sister organization in New York City -- the Asian & Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS (APICHA) -- recently published an excellent resouce: the Client Navigator Guide. The guide is a 54-page informative booklet, available in eight languages -- Bengali, Chinese, English, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese. An empowering tool, it assists clients with information to assist them in making important decisions on medical treatment, nutrition and exercise, legal, and financial issues. The guide helps clients answer questions about living with HIV or AIDS.

This project is funded by Northern California Grantmakers AIDS Partnership California. View their website.
