NATIONAL RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

The Research and Technical Assistance (RTA) department provides training and technical assistance to community based organizations throughout the U.S. in the form of grants, facilitation, and consultation on organizational development and program planning. The department works annually with over 20 community organizations to increase their capacity to conduct HIV prevention education, risk reduction and community mobilization.

RTA has developed various curriculum for developing and running peer organizations, support groups, and prevention interventions. RTA has also developed collaborative research projects with community based researchers to learn more about AΠ attitudes and behaviors; and the effectiveness of HIV strategies.
