  Dozens killed in suicide bombings targeting Kurdish offices in Irbil
In one of the deadliest days of post-war Iraq, two men walked into Kurdish political offices with explosives strapped to their bodies and, a few minutes apart and on different sides of town, killed at least 60 people - and possibly more than 100.

Suicide Bombers Kill at Least 56 in Iraq
Two suicide bombers with explosives wired to their bodies struck the offices of the country's two main Kurdish parties in nearly simultaneous attacks Sunday, killing at least 56 people and wounding more than 235 in the deadliest assault in Iraq in six months.

244 Trampled, Killed at Saudi Pilgrimage
At least 244 people were trampled to death and hundreds more hurt Sunday under the crush of worshippers in one of the deadliest disasters during the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

Flights canceled amid al-Qaida worries
Six U.S.-bound flights from England, Scotland and France have been canceled because of security concerns. The U.S. government said it had fresh indications of al-Qaida's continued interest in targeting commercial planes flying to the United States.
