I was proud to be English and happy every day
I had a full life and enough money to play.
I had my friends and holidays and fun all the way.
Then my Ex took my kid - Who needs the HRA?

Why do men marry? I really don't know.
Women demand too high a price - "Do what I say or go!"
And then to the divorce courts for both sides men pay,
The wife gets the house, car and pension - then there's the CSA.
'Equality is equity', she's missed out on pay
But dad's missed out on family life, while working all day
How much to compensate for that? Who needs the HRA?

"Make dads responsible for their kids", states the CSA.
But they can only find the decent dads as the others have run away.
Driving decent dads to despair - it really makes their day.
"It's not persecution to take all their funds" -Who needs the HRA?

If a woman wants a baby, it's clearly her right
To grab any man for sex for one night.
If she gets pregnant it's her's to say
Whether to tell the dad at all- Who needs the HRA?
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
If she wants an abortion it's clearly her right
Not to tell the dad, 'cause to have it , he might.
Only for IVF have dads got a say
And that's only temporary - who needs the HRA?

"Children don't need dads!" - The feminists cry
"Single mothers take both roles, the state plays the guy".
But their kids are damaged - twice as likely to do crime,
ASB, Drug Abuse, Teenage Pregnancy and time.
£50 Billion for social services to sort out the mess
"The Fatherless Family" - that's feminist progress!

"Men are criminals, women are victims!" - It's always been that way
"With false accusations - we can make them pay!"
"There's anonymity and no punishment for the women", they say
"There's trial by media and the mob for the men" - who needs the HRA?
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Article 6 says public hearing and fair trial for all
"But not if it involves kids and fathers", they call
The family courts are secret - nobody must say
What punishment dad's face there - Who needs the HRA?

The new Sexual Offences Act has changed sex for good
All under 16s are criminals if they kiss, touch or would.
Parents are criminals if their kids they undress
And no sex without written consent, is really the best!
"All men are rapists and paedophiles!", they say
"Previous sexual history is no defence!" - Who needs the HRA?
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
So if you agree, you must stand up and fight!
It's not yet too late to do what is right!
All-women shortlists mean men can't be MP
And female Judge quotas and all females on TV
There is just one chance left - "What is it you say?"
"We must take this Government to Strasbourg!" - Thank God for the HRA!

Male parents, all single parents and all poor parents do get a rough time. And smacking children looks the next issue for these.

TV and papers now show there is a lot of pressure to make parents smacking children illegal.

Is it mostly children of parents with no money for treats who get smacked for behaving badly ? Is it parents with money who mostly do not smack as they have less need to ?

I see TV and papers saying nothing as to exactly WHY parents smack children ? Are they trying to make illegal something they don't understand ?

I fully suport the sentiment of thi poem, but it does not go far enough, the average working man gets no help from anyone and grief from most. We pay the bills, pay the tax's, support the rest with no thanks at all

The writer of the poem is correct in his sentiments, I was one father who lost out and there will be hundreds of thousands more, time for a change.
