Giraffe is a powerful but easy to use monitoring tool that monitors Nodes, Processes (on NT Operating Systems), Directories and Files. Several thresholds can be configured and when thresholds are exceeded alarms will be sent to the Alarm Monitor. This monitor can then export alarms (based on several filters) to the Windows Event Log or via e-mail to a system administrator.
Alarms are completely file based so alarms can be inserted into Giraffe from other systems.
