Emmerdale: how would you handle Debbie?

Discuss

Put your self in Cain's shoes (if you can bear the smell). His daughter clearly has a crush on someone but she won't say who. She's started wearing make-up and dressing like her mother (who wouldn't worry about that?) Cain's solution is to scrub her face with a dishcloth and shout his head off. For some reason Debbie isn't responding to this approach (can't imagine why?!) Chastity on the other hand is lending her make-up and letting her get on with it. But isn't that just encouraging her to make a fool of herself - maybe that's the best way for her to learn? Cain's intentions are genuine enough, he doesn't want her to end up pregnant or get taken advantage of. How would you handle her?
Emmerdale: how would you handle Debbie?

Shout at her - be strict or she'll go off the rails.
Talk to her, find out how she's feeling and how you can help.
Leave her to it. She''ll get hurt but it's the only way she'll learn.
Find out who she's got a crush on and get them to talk to her.
