Izzy has changed her tune regarding Karl and has decided that she wants a relationship with him. Interestingly enough, this has happened directly after she discovered that she was pregnant with Gus' child.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who plays Izzy, described why Izzy decided to change her mind.

"She thinks that Karl may be the one that the priest has told her about," Natalie said. "I don't think she thought of it before her and definitely not the night before when he propositioned her, but yes she has feelings for him. She always has in a way, but she doesn't realise what they. She also thinks that he will make a great father for her baby. He loves her and she thinks he's great."

When asked whether she thought that Izzy genuinely loves Karl or whether she is just looking for a father for her baby, Natalie answered,

"It's a bit of both. She's doing it for the baby, because she wants the best father for her baby," explained Natalie. "She wants the baby to grow up in a better way than what she did. She wants her baby to have everything. It's a bit selfish on her behalf, but it's also for the baby's sake. She's in a bit of limbo, because she wonders whether maybe this is how it's supposed to be. She doesn't know."

Natalie couldn't say whether she thought that Izzy was doing the right thing by forging a relationship with Karl.

"I can sympathise with her, because I think that she's very confused," Natalie said. "I don't think anyone can say unless they're in that position, but it's a really, really tough place to be at. Ultimately I think it's the wrong choice, but she's in too deep now and she doesn't know what to do. If it was me I think I would have had the guts to say something in the beginning."

Hopefully Izzy will tell the truth before she tears apart both her own life not to mention the lives of the people around her.
