RecoveryEasy - Latest Protection for Hard Disk Destruction of hard disks may be caused by factors such as viruses, leading to the loss of important data and information, and this much to the annoyance of the user. In order to prevent this from happening, Legend QDI has created Recovery Easy, a very powerful system that can protect data and information contained in the hard disk, as well as prevent the infection by of viruses.

Legend QDI© new WinneX Series and Advance 5/133E mainboards have a built-in Recovery Easy to backup, protect and instantly recover information from the hard disk, preventing the loss of useful information. Furthermore, Recovery Easy can also protect and recover CMOS data. Since Recovery Easy is built into BIOS, as soon as the computer enters BIOS startup process, it is possible to immediately enter BIOS-Protect Easy© interface by means of a hot key. After entering the interface, the user can choose whether to backup the system disk or the data disk. Legend QDI© Recovery Easy will then select an area on the hard disk to store the backed up information. From then on, this area will be unavailable to the user, even if a virus. For example, enters the system disk or the data disk, causing turbulence, the breaking down of the system, and the loss of important data and information, Recovery Easy can recover the backed up information. The user can therefore easily get the computer on track again.

Legend QDI© Recovery Easy has proved itself superior to traditional protect cards.

Traditional protect cards usually tie up at least one PCI Slot or a modem card, and may even turn out to be incompatible with the mainboard. When installing the protect card, the corresponding parameter settings must be processed. When upgrading the ROM on the card must be replaced and the software must be changed. Furthermore, the quality and maintenance of the hardware may lead to a series of after service complications. Since Legend QDI© Recovery Easy is built into BIOS, not only is it 100% compatible, but it also comes along free with the mainboard and does not require the installation of any hardware or software. It is upgraded free of charge when upgrading BIOS, and there are no quality or maintenance related after service complications.

Since traditional protect card program and parameters are partly stored in the hard disk, if destroyed by a virus or by any other factors, the protect card becomes useless. Recovery Easy however has a powerful anti-virus function that can channel off any virus from the area where it has backed up the system disk or the data disk. Combined with Legend QDI© Anti-Virus double BIOS write-protect function, Recovery Easy is the perfect solution against viruses such as CIH. Unlike other protect cards, which can only protect one hard disk each, Recovery Easy can protect up to 4 hard disks.

The only disadvantage of Legend QDI Recovery Easy is that it monopolizes some space on the hard disk. However, the fast development of technology, the constant launching of high capacity hard disks, and low prices will certainly contribute to its widespread usage. If you plan on buying a 6.4G hard disk, you might as well get a 8.3G, which has an extra 2G space to back up your system disk and data disk.
