June 2004
Above average rainfall totals across most northern parts of
the UK, with the south and south-east receiving below average
rainfall. Mean temperatures were above average, despite a
cool second half of the month. Above average sunshine over
southern and south-western England.

Cambridge recorded a temperature of 31.5 °C on
8 June. The temperature reached only 9 °C on the
19th at Aviemore. The central pressure at 0600 on the 23rd
was 982 hPa, making it one of the deepest depressions recorded
in June over England and Wales. Wettest June at Kinloss, since
records began in 1951.
