Izzy was distressed when Karl admitted that he felt trapped by their relationship. Libby's article about homewreckers was published and Izzy was furious. Libby refused to apologise for it, claiming that it was fictitious.

Karl revealed Izzy's pregnancy to Susan and she became bitterly angry. Karl was sympathetic, but Susan asked him to leave. Susan carried her fury into the street and lay into Karl in front of everyone.

Libby and Darren found themselves falling back into the comfortable companionship that they once shared. Darren revealed to Lou that he had returned to Erinsborough to try to win Libby's heart again.

Lou thought that there was an intruder in the house and fetched Stuart to check things out for him. The intruder was Valda, who revealed that she was Lou's landlady and that she was here to stay.
