Council Members

James Miller James Miller, teaches Canadian history at the University of Saskatchewan. A leading scholar on Aboriginal issues, he has received a number of national and international awards and distinctions for his work on human rights and on Native populations. A former SSHRC (Canada Council) fellowship holder, he has taught in Japan and recently co-authored a book on the history of treaty-making in Canada. Dr. Miller is past president of the Canadian Historical Association, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, a Canada Research Chair and a prior member of the SSHRC Research Funding Committee.
