Council Members

Keren Rice Keren Rice is a professor of linguistics and head of the Aboriginal studies programs at the University of Toronto. A world leader in the study of aboriginal languages, especially Athapaskan, Dr. Rice has written numerous books and articles on linguistics and has served on the editorial boards of several journals. She has received numerous honours and awards, including a Connaught Research Leave Fellowship, an Honours Ceremony at First Nations House, University of Toronto, a Faculty of Arts Outstanding Teacher Award, a Killam Research Fellowship, and a Bloomfield Book Award from the Linguistic Society of America. Dr. Rice received her PhD from the University of Toronto.
