SSHRC supports university-based research and graduate training in the social sciences and humanities. SSHRC grants and fellowships are awarded through an independent, national, peer-review process. To determine if your research falls under SSHRC's mandate, please see Selecting a Funding Agency.

Applicants (principal investigators) must be affiliated with a Canadian postsecondary institution. Foreign researchers not affiliated with a Canadian postsecondary institution are eligible to apply as co-applicants to selected SSHRC programs and as research collaborators to any SSHRC-supported project.
