This year's Ramon Magsaysay Awardee for Journalism, Literature and Creative Communication Arts is Abdullah Abu Sayeed, who hails from Bangladesh. He has been recognized for his dedication of cultivating a love of literature among his fellow countrymen. Since 1975, when he founded the Bishwo Shahtto Kendro, or World Literature Center, he has strived to enrich the hearts and minds of the younger generation.
