Three vying for world player award

Ukrainian striker Andriy Shevchenko of AC Milan, above, Thierry Henry of Arsenal and Barcelona's Ronaldinho are finalists for FIFA's 2004 World Player of the Year award.

The three candidates for Women's Player of the Year are Mia Hamm of the United States, Birgit Prinz of Germany and Marta of Brazil with the winners announced in Zurich on December 20.
