PROMISE KEEPERS ANNOUNCES “THE AWAKENING”
2005 CONFERENCES HELD IN 20 CITIES; 15TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR

In 2005, Promise Keepers will hold conferences in 20 cities, our most ambitious schedule since 1999. Based on the theme “The Awakening,” Promise Keepers’ state-of-the-art all-male gathering will visit six cities for the first time, including an outdoor stadium event in Fayetteville, Ark. Since the turn of the century, Promise Keepers (PK) has reached close to 200,000 men and boys annually at conferences, and thousands more have been reached through the Internet, satellite and radio broadcasts. 2005 is Promise Keepers’ 15th year of conference ministry.

“Promise Keepers is calling men to full-alert living as sons of God,” said Dr. Tom Fortson, president and CEO of Promise Keepers. “The 2005 program is designed to awaken men to the epic spiritual battle taking place between light and darkness, between good and evil. Men are struggling to reach their full potential and life’s purpose, and we want to help them fight for the hearts of their families as well. We also want to help men design a plan that will empower them to impact their world and fulfill their destiny.” This month Dr. Fortson celebrates his first anniversary at the helm of Promise Keepers.

“We are especially excited about fathers and sons together making a weekend of the Promise Keepers experience,” added Dr. Fortson. In the last five years, more than 90,000 youth 18 and under attended Promise Keepers.
