Educational Resources
With the help of teachers from the Muncie Community School System, the Ball
State University Museum of Art has developed materials for the classroom, now
newly available for downloading. Designed for grades four and five, each packet
includes classroom activities, 20 images in JPEG format, bibliography, and
features brief descriptions, thumbnail-size reproductions, and a locator map for
each object.

For use with the social studies curriculum:
Native Art of North America in the Ball State University Museum of Art,
Materials for the Classroom (47 pages), 2nd ed., 2000, by Tonia

focuses on Native American art and culture through objects in the museum’s
collection
reproductions of 20 objects in jpeg format
nine activities including word searches and scrambles, mapping, writing,

focuses on American geography through the museum’s landscape paintings
