Planning Commission Mandate
The Archdiocesan Planning Commission is appointed by Archbishop Dolan to design and facilitate cycle III of Archdiocesan planning.
This commission
- Builds on the work completed in cycles I (1989-1991) and II (1996-2002).
- Includes in its scope parishes, schools and other institutions served by the Catholic community through the ten counties, and
- Incorporates education, consultation, and dialogue at the parish, cluster, district and archdiocesan levels.
- Develops proposals to be given to the Archbishop for implementation for future ministerial service to Catholic communities.
As a people called to share in the mission of Jesus Christ in Southeastern Wisconsin, they work with the whole Catholic community to develop plans that insure
- Access to the Eucharist in its totality, namely Word, Sacrament, Service and Community for all the faithful.
- Opportunities to live Eucharistic lives through practice of spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
- Wise stewardship of our human and temporal resources.
