About the Short Movie Awards

Watch a film, win a car!
Each year, hundreds of aspiring queer filmmakers submit their films for competition in the PlanetOut Short Movie Awards (POSMA). A jury decides the best film of the bunch and awards the lucky grand-prize winner with a check for $10,000 and a chance to screen the winning film at the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.
This year, we're upping the ante: PlanetOut and Gay.com members can view the short film finalists online in their entirety, vote for their favorite and enter a sweepstakes to win a brand-new, 2005 Scion tC.
You can vote once per category per day, so visit the POSMA Audience Awards site every day to cast your votes for your favorite films in all five categories. Read the official rules for complete details, and good luck!
