Paul, Part III
Paul
Neighbours star Stefan Dennis
Paul and Christina, or 'Chrissie,' got married, and decided to have a baby. This time Paul decided he would be a proper dad, not burying himself in work, and he was ready to take Chrissie to the hospital when she went into labour. However, he had to switch to an ice cream truck when his car ran out of petrol! Luckily she safely gave birth to Andrew at the hospital.
During this time, which should have been one of the happiest of Paul's life, he became extremely stressed when his half brother Glenn Donnelly was paralysed fixing a Lassiter's sign for Paul. Paul, who was not on good terms with his half brother anyway, had to sell part of his business to Madge. He used that money, and a lot of shady tactics (including bribery), to get Glenn to settle out of court rather than sue him. It looked as though Paul could lose everything. He decided to get away to recover from his breakdown and returned with his daughter Amy, who did not get on with Chrissie at all.
It was around this time that Paul's rather obvious attraction for Caroline, Chrissie's twin sister came to light. After they consummated this passion, Caroline fled overseas, leaving her sister to wonder why. Later, she overheard Paul confessing to his grandma, Helen, of whom he had always been very fond of. She threw him out, but months later accepted him back. They planned to move away with Andrew after renewing their wedding vows.
This wasn't the last we heard of Paul Robinson, however. He came back to visit Helen, but managed to implicate Philip Martin in a fraud he had actually committed... he rang Chrissie in Hawaii, told her to move to Brazil where the police couldn't find him, signed a confession, said farewell to Helen, and disappeared!
Keep watching the show to see how Paul fits back into Erinsborough.
