Each year, hundreds of aspiring queer filmmakers submit their films for competition in the PlanetOut Short Movie Awards (POSMA). This year, hilarious mockumentary "Promtroversy" took home the grand prize -- and what a win it is! The director gets a check for $10,000 and a screening at the prestigious Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.This year, PlanetOut and Gay.com members were asked to view the short film finalists online in their entirety and cast votes for their favorite films. Documentary "Abridged" Director: Mark McCormick A highly subjective narrative on San Francisco's Bay Bridge as metaphor, this short is a funny, bittersweet, and sometimes-sexy exploration of key moments in one gay man's life.
