Dave McCarthy has been playing music all over the Jersey Shore for over 25
years, both solo and in various duos and bands. His band, Revelry, opened
for such acts as Lester Flatt, The Flying Burrito Brothers and Commander Cody
and the Lost Planet Airmen.
Presently Dave performs solo, playing acoustic guitar and harmonica, in an
acoustic duo with guitarist/vocalist Pam McCoy, and in a five piece band which
includes Pam, Jeff Dalton on banjo, guitar, pedal steel guitar and vocals,
Phil Rizzo on bass guitar and vocals, and drummer Derek Rowe. The music is a
true cross section of popular music, Country music and rock & roll, mostly from
the 60’s and 70’s, with an interesting mixture of favorites and off-the-beaten-
track material. You’ll hear songs by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eagles,
Jefferson Airplane, Doors, Steely Dan, Bruce Springsteen, Mamas and the Papas,
and of course Mungo Jerry, Homer and Jethro and Loudon Wainright III.
With their strong vocal harmonies and extensive songlist, the McCarthy/McCoy
