Local Partners

NPP works with over 110 Local Partners in 45 states.

The Local Partner Network includes over 100 local advocacy, organizing and policy groups from across the nation which support the mission of the National Priorities Project. This network is part of NPP's effort to create opportunities for grassroots organizations and coalitions to work together towards making the federal government more responsive to community needs.

Each member of the network receives NPP email bulletins, including federal budget updates and notice of report and factsheet releases that are available on our website. These annual releases include:

  • The State of the States Factsheet, which provides a snapshot of each state's needs and illustrates impact of the President's spending and tax policies on those needs.
  • The Tax Day Factsheet, which provides state and city breakdowns of how federal tax dollars are spent.
  • At least two additional Grassroots Factsheets, which provide localized data on issues under debate and in need of better understanding.
  • A sample media kit, which accompanies each Grassroots Factsheet and contains a sample press release and letter to the editor.

Hard copies of all materials are also available upon request (a fee may apply).

NPP also offers the NPP Database free of charge to concerned citizens, activists and organizations. This interactive Database provides state-by-state, graphic information on needs and federal expenditures in a range of issue areas, including hunger, poverty, labor, housing, health care and military spending. It can be found at www.nationalpriorities.org/database.
