About M7
M7 was founded in 1999 with the mission of providing software developers with the most effective tools for the creation of web applications based on open source and standards-based technologies.
M7 Corporation™ is a privately-held company, founded by Mansour Safai, Essam Zaky, Sami Ben-Romdhane and Ling Hao. Together, they bring a long history of experience and innovation in the market for development tools. M7 technology has been developed over a four year period and has been successfully deployed at leading companies such as Agilent, Cablevision, GE and Symantec. The company was publicly launched in mid 2002. M7 has recieved investment from Redpoint Ventures, Highland Capital, CIR Ventures and Genevest.
Through significant study and research, M7 has found developers of complex web applications are experiencing a number of significant challenges: understanding the myriad of layers in applications; difficulty navigating the proliferation of frameworks (Struts, libraries, middleware, etc.); challenges in making modifications, given the choices to be made within and across layers; painful and time-consuming error diagnosis; and the inability to test and debug applications end-to-end.
NitroX represents the culmination of M7’s significant efforts, drawing on our experience and innovation to address the challenges developers are facing. Unlike any of the other products on the market today, which do not adequately address these challenges, NitroX improves the development of complex web applications in an open source, standards-compliant environment.
Previously, M7 introduced the M7 Application Assembly Suite. This suite dramatically decreased application development and maintenance costs by allowing visual assembly of applications from existing enterprise data. Its layered architecture and visual tools enabled faster development and easier maintenance. Its visual framework combined a web development methodology with the ability to leverage existing and future application components making applications more maintainable and reusable.
