People For Puget Sound and Sound Community Bank launch the scenic Puget Sound VISA card

Meet their match: members offer new challenges that inspire support

Seattle philanthropists Nancy and Buster Alvord want to see Puget Sound and Hood Canal restored and preserved for their grandchildren and the generations that follow. So they’ve issued us a challenge – they’ll donate $50,000 to our efforts if our members and supporters help us reach a $600,000 in donations by December 31, 2005. Pledges also qualify if paid by June 30, 2006. Help us meet this ambitious goal - give online today!

Recognizing the importance that our broad, grassroots membership has played in our efforts to protect the Sound, People For Puget Sound launched a membership drive this fall with the goal of signing up 4,000 new members by June 2006. Here’s increased motivation to join now: long-time People For Puget Sound supporter Judy Pigott will match every new member’s gift 1:1 up to a total of $25,000. Double your money and sign up today.

Puget Sound is counting on you

Financial support from our members and donors is critical to operating successful programs. Your contributions allow People For Puget Sound the flexibility to respond swiftly to emergency issues like the October 2004 Dalco Passage oil spill, while continuing to carry out our other important programs.

Because of your support, we are able to have a strong and independent voice on behalf of Puget Sound and its creatures. And you can rest assured that your contribution is making a difference - 88 cents of every dollar you give supports our program-related activities.
