Primer Encuentro Nacional de Pastoral Juvenil Hispana

The National Catholic Network de Pastoral Juvenil Hispana, and the national leadership in Hispanic and youth and young adult ministry are collaborating on putting together the First National Encuentro for Hispanic Youth and Young Adult Ministry. With the guidance of our bishops and under the central theme "Weaving the Future Together," this Encuentro is a first and necessary step in helping the Church as a whole understand, embrace and affirm the unique cultural identity, reality and gifts of Hispanic youth and young adults.
At the same time, the Encuentro will identify and/or develop best practices, and the principles and components that constitute a ministry rooted in the reality of Hispanic young people in the United States.

In order to participate at the National level, we need to participate in the process at the parish level which will take place during the Summer and Fall 2005; at the Archdiocesan level on November 19, 2005 at the Cousin Center from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and at the Regional level in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 16-18, 2006, and finally at the National level at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana on June 8-10, 2006.

Para mayor información o para obtener los materiales necesarios para preparar a los grupos juveniles de cada parroquia favor de llamar a la Oficina del Ministerio Hispano.
