Visit Notes
| Prev Site | Next Site | This is one of the most photographed site at Carrowmore and, I think, rightly so. It is almost perfect - both in structure and location. It is situated on the spine of a shallow slope, allowing you to get good views of it.
There is a complete kerb and internal passage tomb, which is of the dolmen-like style. The kerb is quite small at around 13m in diameter, but is made of large rocks. |
| Prev Site | Next Site | This is one of everyone's favourites here. When I first visited it was a murky day and visibility was very poor. On this visit, however, the views were opened right up to the mountain ranges that encircle Carrowmore. |
