Coming straight here from Newgrove immediately made me compare the two, which is a fair comparison, but on reflection this is more similar to Dolmen of the Four Maols (County Mayo). It is in surprising good condition, being next to a road. The large, flat capstone is in place and amazing all four wall stones are in situ too, leaving just narrow gaps at the corners to see inside through. Entry inside is only possible for the very thin.
The landscape around here is very pretty. You are on a wide valley floor with hills rising up all around. A wonderful spot.
