Squinting from The Sun (Diaries)

By Marvaud
Sat Nov 5th, 2005 at 08:44:01 PM EST

Marvaud's Diary

The sun is an enormous white hot yellow fiery ball in the sky. All of a sudden, it's the blazing summer, here in Melbourne. I'm watching half human- half lobster people wandering past the cafes. A lot of us out here still haven't got the message of SPF 30. Living with danger, and loving it. Whilst I, admittedly bought myself a very nice dress last weekend, forgetting in the grip of a shopping frenzy, that the dress has very thin straps thereby exposing my shoulders and upper back, and now I need something else to wear so I don't become a lobster too!!!!! Um, it needs an Indian, cottony cheeseclothy very lightweight throw, wrap or jacket. Looked everywhere for one yesterday. So now I can't wear the dress till I get one. Why am I telling you all this? Me no know! I'm just saying a silent prayer that my shoulder protector type garment will appear soon.

WiFi worries (Diaries)

danharan's Diary

So all of a sudden it stands for "Wireless Fidelity" and the CNet editor is on TV telling people how to turn on WEP, "weaker than WPA, but better than nothing".

That way no one can mooch off your connection, or use it for illegal activity.

WTF is going on here?

Why Should I? (Diaries)

By NewGI

NewGI's Diary

Yesterday I heard this from an old man when I asked for his phone number: "Why should I give you my phone number if I may not be here to answer it when you call?" Made me think.

I Heart Huckabess and The Life Aquatic. (Diaries)

By rocket
Sat Nov 5th, 2005 at 10:27:05 AM EST

rocket's Diary

These are two quite good comedy films. I enjoyed them both. However the first time I tried to watch them I gave up after 20 minutes because I thought they were both total crap. But when I went back and watched them again past the 20 minute mark I really got into them and thought they were both really excellent, especially the Life Aquatic, that film is excellent. And the other one is pretty good too.
