wampswillion's Diary

so is there anyway at all to enumerate your comments so that they start with one and go up rather than 1 being the last one you made?

you see my problem is that i am keeping watch on one particular one- (thankyougustad's translations) and i have to keep looking for it by name rather than number because it's number always changes whenever i make a new comment to someone else.

thanks.   very much.

Have you ever tried to read this shit? But who can turn down free paperbacks when you're bored? I've read several of his turds euphemistically referred to as "novels". I do not recommend that you do the same. Even so, there is perhaps one slightly redeeming feature of of his literary flatulence...

ankarbass's Diary

You might have heard of hell house. I just watched it today and laughed my ass off. One of the best parts was when "I wanna be a raver" dude starts talking about date rape drugs and he doesn't have any idea what drug he's talking about. But, oh, he's seen it himself at the evil raves. He plays the DJ every year at hell house.

Harvest of Despair (Diaries)

Baldrson's Diary

Given the, literally, hundreds of movies and documentaries about the Holocaust, it struck me as rather odd that there wasn't a comparable body of work about the Holodomor -- the Ukrainian Famine of 1932-1933.  I finally found one 55 minute documentary about it.  But then I found something more disturbing...

The Story Ghetto - Why is all the good stuff on K5 in the diary section? (Diaries)

By nlscb

nlscb's Diary

Except for El Guapo and OceanBourne, I've been a bit underwhelmed by a lot of the stories on K5 lately. Why is it that all the good stuff is in the diary section? I'm not against FP political rants per se, but if they're just a bunch of teenage parrots of the Guardian it gets a bit tiring. I'd love to hear something just completely off the wall, that goes compleletly orthogonal to the whiny New York Times/asshole Wall Street Journal dichotomy without using the Economist as a crutch. Oh well. I guess one must live and die by the mod queue sword (though thank god the haiku got through). For now, I shall get my kicks from the Diary section.

skyknight's Diary

As best I can tell, I remember everything. This doesn't mean that I have random access to any arbitrary memory, as it's not indexed quite like that, but it seems like everything is there. It's just a matter of crawling the web of memories.
