I work for Microsoft UK as an IT Pro Evangelist, based in the Reading campus. My team works with the TechNet community in the UK through TechNet events, online chats, webcasts, and Technical events like TechEd and IT Forum. We look after specific technology clusters, including product roadmaps, futures and long term vision.
This means I get to play with, and talk about all of the technologies I love, some in a much greater depth than others. My main focus area is Collaboration and Productivity, but I'm also caretaking Management technologies for a while. I cover Exchange, SharePoint, Live Communications Server, Office, Windows Messaging for collaboration, and SMS, MOM, WUS, SUS and Group Policy for Management technologies.
I spend my days either creating and building presentations, and images for whichever TechNet briefing I'm preparing for next, or working with the community; with MVP's, IT pro's and our marketing team here. I get to wear a heck of a lot of blue polo shirts too!
