A Dallas produced Telecourse is an integrated learning system that uses multimedia to deliver an academically sound, broadcast-quality course for any institution's educational program. Our courses combine video, a textbook, a student Telecourse Guide, a faculty manual and test bank to provide a comprehensive standard Telecourse of quality instruction to be delivered for the convenience of the student.

Telecourses are most often offered by institutions for college credit to distance learners and other non-traditional learners. Usually administered through a department for distance learning, an academic division, or continuing education department, the courses are taught by an assigned faculty member who guides students through the learning experience, grades examination, and administers grades. The videos may be broadcast over a local public station, cablecast or aired over instruction television fixed service (ITFS), or offered by videocassette for students to watch at their convenience.

Why Use Telecourses?

  • Telecourses offer a quality instructional tool that allows the instructor to support and interact with the student throughout the course and use various technologies to enhance teaching.
  • Telecourses, offered in any of our available formats as a distance learning course, appeal to a student population that cannot or prefers not to attend regular on-campus classes.
  • They are effective in serving the educational needs of the entire community.
