I'll be bookmarking this for next year, nice find.
On the other hand, if you did make $600, especially if they send you the 1099, and you don't include it on your taxes, you are setting yourself up for an audit, so be careful.
Richard Hatch from Survivor is going to jail for some time for not declaring his winnings and was fine essentially all of his money.
Whats stopping me from making a brand new website, throwing some adsense ads on it, making $1 in adsense revenue, and saving loads on my computer and laptops... aside from the fact I live in Canada...?
BTW, this is website spam.
thats all?
What a waste of time collecting taxes on such small amounts.
Don't forget to file all your related expenses so it just turns into a shell game for tax man.

Ha, this is become another Homer Simpson moment for us.
You only pay taxes on money were paid during 2005. You'll pay for money they give you this year, next year.
This site is far from complete. All parts of this site are under revised regularly. "
Where is the little animated road sign gif of the stick figure wearing a hardhat wielding a shovel? That's makes your site look more professional.
That would be disclosed as earnings/revenue on your filing of a 1040 form in the various flavors offered. Google didn't send me a 1099, but my company is a corp, so they don't have to. You're simply supposed to be legitimate and responsible, then send the government up to 1/3 of your adjusted earnings.
Don't worry, they have your tax id or SSN regardless. The big, bad IRS can figure it out if they want.
I was just about to write DUHHH!!!, but then I saw that the first poster had already taken care of it.
If you don't make anything I think there's a flat $100 tax for being a member of adsense...
and you have to fill the 10 forms out or you could spend time in jail for tax evasion...
its only worth it if you have an accountant, and make over 5000 a year on adsense
Richard Hatch, the first survivor winner, went to jail for not paying his taxes after a dispute with the producers about who is paying the tax on his $1Million winnings. He claims they were supposed to pay it, and there's no comment from the show spokespeople about the alleged deal... According to this article below, he also has questionable morals in other financial dealings, like using money for charity for home improvements. He definitely operates "in the gray."

I use adsence, live in canada. What will i file? What ever i feel like. they direct deposit into my bank account. sooo no papers are ever transmitted to the goc.
but if for another reason i get an audit and the force me to look into my account THEN and only THEN will they see the income from google. Same goes with Paypal.
