"Here in Ohio -- with our gray, cloudy winters -- it does help to have a little green indoors," said Lynette Higginbotham, director of operations and sales for Oakland Interiorscapes, which provides plant care for central Ohio businesses and homes. Not only do plants provide color, they also absorb toxins in the air from synthetic carpets and paints, Higginbotham said.
