Like the nearby wedge tomb also in Loughmacrory townland this one is almost complete.

It consists of a 4m long gallery covered by two roof stones, which are both in place. There is good double walling on both sides of the tomb, which faces west. The entrance is defined by two very large stones that are more of court tomb entrance jamb proportions. There is no cairn material visible and no indication of how large it would have been.

The tomb is 2m from the western wall of a field and spread across the rest of the field that this tomb is in are some very curious looking stones. Many of these could also have been tombs or even, in one case, a stone circle.
