Directions

From Shercock take the R162 north and then the R181 north. Turn right at the first turning and proceed for about 1km. This splendid tomb is in a field to the right.

It was quite a diversion to visit this tomb and I was very apprehensive about doing so. Luckily it proved to be very worthwhile. Only the chamber remains made up of 20+ orthostats that average 1.8m in height. The length of the chamber plus extended passage is approximately 8m. It lies just 15m into the field like the huge skeleton of a megalithic beached whale. Beautiful.
