| Prev Site | Next Site | There are supposed to be 9 bullaun stones in Leitrim and this isn't one of them. It was a real surprise to find this stone tucked up against the wall inside the ruins of the church.
It's possible that people think it's a font due to its small size, but you can tell that it has definitely been badly hacked from a larger piece of rock.
The single cup is about 12cm in diameter, holds water and a few coins. |
