Active collaborations
In order to improve the quality of articles which are short or lacking in detail, Wikipedia's community takes part in collaborations to expand articles.
Collaboration of the week
Help edit History of art, Wikipedia's current collaboration of the week! Please help to bring it up to featured article standard.
History of art usually refers to the history of the visual arts. The term also encompasses theory of the visual arts which is not necessarily historical. Although ideas about the definition of art have changed over the years, the field of art history attempts to categorize changes in art throughout time and better understand how art shapes and is shaped by the outlooks and creative impulses of its practitioners. Although some may think of art history as purely the study of European art history, the subject encompasses all art, from the megaliths of Western Europe to the paintings of the Tang dynasty in China.

Article Improvement Drive
Improve Cold War, the present incumbent at the Article Improvement Drive. The Article Improvement Drive works on a non-stub article that needs a lot of help before reaching featured-article standard.
The Cold War was the protracted geostrategic, economic and ideological struggle that emerged after World War II between the global superpowers of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the United States of America, supported by their respective and emerging alliance partners. The Cold War endured over four decades, from circa 1947 until the decline and eventual collapse of East European and Soviet state communism in the late 1980s. The disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991 is generally considered to mark the absolute end of the conflict.
