With OpenProtect, you can protect your organisation from all email threats (virus, spam, phishing) and control content (want to filter password protected zip files? Allow only encrypted emails? disarm HTML emails and a myraid of other options) at the server level. Available as GPL/Free software with Commercial support and antivirus plugin. BitDefender for qmail Added 2005-01-14 BitDefender for qmail is a powerful antivirus software for Linux mail servers, which provides proactive protection of message traffic at the email server level, eliminating the risk to the entire network that could be caused by a negligent user. All messages, both sent and received, are scanned in real time, avoiding the possible infections and preventing anyone from sending an infected message. BitDefender claims 100% detection rate for all viruses in the wild (ITW) through its powerful scanning engines certified by the most prestigious testing labs (ICSA in February 2003, Virus Bulletin 100% in June 2003 and CheckMark in August 2003). Maillog View Added 2004-11-01 Maillog View is a Webmin module that allows you to easily view all your /var/log/maillog.* files. It features autorefresh, message size indication, ascending/descending view order, compressed file support, and a full statistics page. Sendmail, Postfix, Exim, and Qmail (partially) are supported. Courier MTA support is experimental. GNU Anubis Added 2004-06-02 GNU Anubis is an outgoing mail processor. It goes between the MUA (Mail User Agent) and the MTA (Mail Transport Agent), and can perform various sorts of processing and conversion on-the-fly in accordance with the sender's specified rules, based on a highly configurable regular expressions system. It operates as a proxy server, and can edit outgoing mail headers, encrypt or sign mail with the GnuPG, build secure SMTP tunnels using the TLS/SSL encryption even if your mail user agent doesn't support it, or tunnel a connection through a SOCKS proxy server. vthrottle Added 2004-06-02 vthrottle is an implementation of an SMTP throttling engine for Sendmail servers, based upon M. Williamson's mechanisms, as described in his 2003 Usenix Security paper. It allows the administrator to control how much email users and hosts may send, hindering the rapid spread of viruses, worms, and spam. SSpamM Added 2004-04-28 Semi's Spam Milter (sspamm) is a spam filter for Sendmail that utilizes spambayes, heurestic spam filtering, and virus scanning (BitDefender, not included). LinuxMagic magic-smtpd Added 2004-04-27 MAGIC-SMTPD is a drop-in replacement for Dan Bernstein's qmail-smtpd, and was originally designed to be part of the LinuxMagic Magic Mail Server. This opensource version has been released to allow others to benefit from its anti-spam components, and valid user checking to reduce server loads and spam volumes. It is designed to support stock qmail installations, qmail/vpopmail installations, and database connectivity. Designed for ISP service, this will work for all mail servers large and small. DSPAM Added 2004-04-27 DSPAM is a server-side anti-spam agent for UNIX email servers. It masquerades as the email server's local delivery agent and filters/learns SPAM using a Bayesian statistical approach which provides an administratively maintenance-free, self-learning Anti-Spam service. Each email is broken down into its most interesting tokens, each assigned a spam probability. All probabilities are then combined to produce a statistical probability of spam. This approach, applied to a mature corpus of email, has the potential to yield a 99.5% success rate with only 0.03% chance of false positives. Qmail SStats Added 2004-04-26 Qmail SStats is a small script that generates daily, weekly, and monthly statistics of spam and clean mail that has passed through a mail server. This script is useful if you are using qmail combined with qmailscanner and spamassassin. OpenProtect Added 2004-04-26 OpenProtect is a server-side email protector which guards against spam and viruses in addition to providing content filtering, using a variety of open- source packages. It supports Sendmail, Postfix, Exim and qmail, and is easy to install and maintain. Browse by category |
