Deployment Process - Lite Touch Installation: Step 3

Deployment Process

Create the appropriate Windows PE and Windows XP images.

One of the challenges facing your organization is determining the number of operating system images required to deploy Windows XP. In addition to Windows XP images, you may also need to create Windows PE images to prepare the client computers for deployment. Because these images are large in size, you want to ensure that you minimize the number of required images. In addition, minimizing the number of required images decreases the amount of administrative effort.

The Solution Accelerator for BDD provides guidance about how to reduce the total number of images required for your organization. Solution Accelerator for BDD can provide you with the prescriptive procedures for creating your images to help you reduce the possibility of needing to recreate an image resulting from configuration errors.
