Sponsorship for a good cause

Hi Everyone I just want to ask any of you who know me or those of you who wish to support the British Heart Foundation or even just support me to sponsor me for the 54 mile London to Brighton Bike Ride.

You can sponsor me online here. (the url sponsor me here will guide you through the process!)  I would appreciate any support.

All sponsors who provide me with a URL or do a corporate sponsorship will have their sponsor logo or URL on my t-shirt on the day! (18th June)

I wonder if MS will do it... usually they only give away software... but that's not much use on a bike ride!  I did wonder if anyone wanted to geek out and create a live feed from a mobile attached to my bike of the event and live stream it to the net... and if it had gps tracking they could see how i was doing!!!   It's one way of showing the capabilities of a Windows Mobile device... I suggested it to the Mobile Mondays group but no response to that idea just yet... (I'm not sure if we have time to get something like that up and running before 18th June tho...)

ps.  Sorry for spamming (although at least it's for a good cause!)

18th April? You mean 18th June, right?

But anyway, I'd love to donate... but do they take Switch Solo?

I'm riding in the London to Brighton Bike Ride again this year as well. I'm rider number 12091, and my sponsorship page is here:

Best of luck in the ride, An_Angel. I hope you tackle Ditchling Beacon with ease. I've dropped a little sponsorship on your page.

Good luck!  I'm rider 25179, so I will be looking out for you.  A few of us techie riders are meeting up in a restaurant bar by the old Brighton Pier after the event for a relaxing drink.  Come and join us and catch up.  I'll let you know what the name of the location is as soon as I get the full details through.

Thank you for the sponsorship!  Do you have a URL that you would like me to use for on the t-shirt?!

Oh and it would be FANTASTIC if the likes of Steve Ballmer and Bill Gates DID sponsor us!!! Wow!!! What an incentive to do really well with it that would be! (either corporate or personal sponsorship!)

Bah!  Real (Wo)men ride mountain bikes with full suspension

Good luck on the ride!

lol... you really think so... I have to say I disagree.  I LOVE my roadie!  I used to have a mountain bike but to be honest, it's no where near as good on the road and that's where i use my bike the most.

I guess it depends on how you use and abuse it.

Angel: can you tell me how well the sponsorship thing went after you're done?

No-doubt you may have heard of my plans for a "(Body) hair-loss for charity", I'm still talking over the more technical details with my friends, but how well do you reckon it would go?

True.  North Florida has some of the best (IMHO) trail riding year round, so I use mine for going to work and biking in the hills.

That said, there are pleny of tarted-up, multicolor spandex roadies in town, too.  We just don't mention them, much.

In reality, I just can't afford a decent road bike, yet and 3-4 hours of biking on a crap bike will leave you with permanent damage

So, cage clips or clipless pedals?

Cleats of course!

There really is no question on that one... they are just so much better for cycling.

Unfortunately for you I am one of the "tarted-up, multicolor spandex roadies..." Although I have to say I prefer lycra

WEBBO: just keep an eye out on the sponsorship page it updates with the total funds as I'm only collecting online sponsorship this year.

I'm not sure why we call them clipless pedals since they have clips.

I know this because every time I've fallen down with them on, I'm pretty well stuck to the bike.
