Software Asset Management - and a free tool

I've been playing with the Software Inventory analyser (MSIA)  after downloading it recently and playing around scanning my home network for Microsoft products.  It's easy (wizard driven), I've now got a consolidated report of all my stuff from each PC, and a graphical view of the machines in my domain. Quite cool.

You can find it on our new website about Software Asset Management  which links in to the SMS site.  I just wanted to have a go witn MSIA on my home network as I'm not running SMS at home (ooh shame on me!) and see how effective and easy to use it is.  I've got a lot more stuff on my office PC than I'd previously thought - lots of things to patch and update now!

This is pretty useful, I could use something like think that did 3rd party software also.
