Ecumenical gathering

Vancouver School of Theology will host an ecumenical gathering called An Interfaith Meditation Conference, June 14-16.
      The gathering will feature teachers from five major faiths: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism.

Commemoration

A special service commemorating the life of Rev. Florence Li Tim-Oi will be held on Sunday May 5, 2002 at All Saints Anglican Church, Markham, Ont., beginning at 3:00 p.m. Archbishop Edward Scott, a former primate, will preside and Bishop Victoria Matthews of Edmonton, will preach. A reception will follow. Tickets to the dinner are $50.00 per person and can be reserved by calling 1-877-363-6592, ext.605.

Conference planned

St. Peter's Anglican church, Cobourg, Ont., is hosting a national conference June 4-5, on the theme The Canadian Church in the Third Millennium.
      The keynote speaker is Reginald Bibby of the University of Lethbridge who will speak on Restless Gods: the New Story About What's Happening in Canada's Churches. Speakers from eight Christian denominations also will be featured.
