In order to accomplish this goal several objectives have been identified both for the office of Student-Athlete Services and for the student-athletes we serve.

Objectives

  • To assist student-athletes in meeting their graduation requirement.
Helping student-athletes to attain this objective is of paramount importance to the student-athlete staff.

    Travel Notification

  • Student-athletes are provided with a letter each term that indicates dates of away events. Travel letters are given to professors during the first week of classes. Additionally, student-athletes notify professors well in advance of conflicts with exams or other occurrences that may cause student-athletes to miss class.

    Falcon Quest

Falcon Quest is offered in conjunction with the NCAA's Champs/Life Skills program. This program is committed to academic excellence and supports progress of the student-athlete toward intellectual development and graduation.

It is designed to build philosophical foundations for the development of athletic programs, support a well-balanced lifestyle for student-athletes while encouraging personal growth and decision-making skills in order to develop and pursue career and life goals. Falcon Quest has given Falcon student-athletes the opportunity to participate in a variety of programs emphasizing five key components: academics, athletics, personal development, career development and a commitment to service.
