Supported Devices

Orbers need a wired or wireless (WiFi 802.11) Internet broadband connection, or cellular connectivity.

Computers (Laptops & Desktops)

You can Orb on any Windows, Linux or MacOS-X laptop or desktop computer that has a broadband connection and a media player that can stream Windows, Real or 3GP media, such as Windows Media Player (v.9 or above), WinAmp, RealPlayer (v.10 or above) or Quicktime Player.

PDAs

You can Orb on any Pocket PC that has Windows-Mobile or Windows-CE Operating System:
  • Any Microsoft Windows 2002, 2003 or Mobile 5 PocketPC
  • Most HP iPaq devices
  • Most Dell Axim PDAs, including the Axim X50
Palm OS Devices

At this time, the only Palm OS device fully compatible with Orb is the Treo 700w. The Treo 600/650, and the Tungsten can be used in Orb for viewing photos but, since they do not have a built-in media player with streaming capability, they cannot at this time be used to stream TV, Video or Audio in Orb.

Mobile Phones

You can Orb on any cell phone with a Web browser and either Windows Media Player, TCPMP, RealPlayer, or 3GP Player. We recommend that you check with your wireless carrier for a data package with unlimited use.

Note: You can test your mobile device to check its streaming capabilities at test.orb.com.

True Story

I love to share photos with my family. We have a new baby and it's great to go to grandma's house and show off her photos so easily. Even better...sometimes I can sneak a few minutes at work to brag to my co-workers!
- Robert

Now no matter where I am my media is with me. I can log in anywhere and enjoy television, my stored photos or even my mega music library. Orb should be included standard on every PC made.
