Charles, any back story to this poll?

Great poll, only that 4 to 8 hours is too broad.
I sleep around 7 hours normally, but it often happens to only catch 4 hours of sleep. I try to sleep a limited amount of hours, since I don't like wasting time.

I understand people who feel the need to sleep up to 10 hours / day so they can stand on two legs, but those who exceed that and get close to sleeping half of their live... I don't get that

Why this poll?

You should have added an extra range instead of the first option, which is totally redundant - simply because people who don't sleep are DEAD!

If you don't sleep, you develop permanent peronality changes, dementia and eventually die.

Rats are dead after 28 days of sleep deprivation.

Lack of sleep is related to obesity, diabetes, immune-system dysfunction, and many illnesses, as well as to safety issues such as car accidents and medical errors, plus impaired job performance and productivity in many other activities...

// edit: By the way, I should be sleeping instead of writing this!

I usually sleep for about 7.5 hours per night on a week, but sometimes that drops to 0, or 3 hours on a weekend. Sleep is very necessary, and I do get annoyed that I don't always get enough.

I've got to disagree.
Vietnam man handles three decades without sleep

It seems ridiculous but alas here is the story:

I go to bed arround 10PM, and wake up by 7AM. I often take a small break, in the afternoon, if i have the time. My teacher learned me that the more you sleep, the better the conditions are for your brain, when you are a teen(Im 15). So i try to sleep alot, when i can.

That is SWEET! I wish I could do with less than 7/8 hours of sleep. If I don't get 7.5 (ideally) I'm really kind of a wreck. You know what Nas said- sleep is the cousin of death.

Really should have added a 3-5 hour range.  You guys need to invent something to make sleep more productive.

Have you watched Break Prison? There is a genius(or madman whatever) who doesn't sleep are LIVE, and I personal think sleep is a habit, it's changeable.

It is a habit but is also needed. So much goes on in these brains of ours whilst we sleep. Sleep patterns can be changed, but unless you have a physiological problem preventing sleep, the change can really only be minute.
