Channel 9 lets me talk to them....

I didn't even notice this, but Kintan mailed me overnight to say that he liked my video on Channel 9.  I was over in Redmond earlier this year, and talked to Charles and Jennifer about all sorts of things including ladies and girl geeks (and Sarah)

I can't watch it though.  It was bad enough being filmed for IT's showtime. It's awful hearing my own voice when I do the Exchange 12 Unified messaging demos - but to actually see myself on a video makes me want to crawl under my desk and hide.

My 26 minutes of fame........ Yikes.

As a father of two daughters, I'm glad there are woman like you "preparing" the corporate world for when they are older.

And as a geek, it's SO cool that you know how to use a sextant! (^_^)

# The Women of Microsoft

I found out that that my boss did a video for Channel 9 when she was last in Redmond. It's quite unusual...

You did great!  You really shouldn't go hiding under any tables!  You should let that personality of yours shine!  It's a powerful thing.  Thanks for the heads up for the girly geek dinners, I was amazed at how often it was brought up and for Charles to instigate that was great to see too!

I hope that the video inspires people (especially women & girls) to look at technology as a career option!

I for one can say as a girly geek I love working in the IT industry and it's not coz I get to work with all the guys!  I love the daily challenges that go with the work!

Matthew.  As far as I know, we don't yet have an E12 video on IT's showtime.  We're planning on recording some of the sessions of the roadshow for IT's showtime - and I'm delivering an E12 overview - so my session may get chosen to go onto the web.  If it does - I'll blog about it..
