Stay Secure and Up to Date
Use Microsoft Update to keep Windows Small Business Server up to date
Microsoft Update provides the same updates you get through Windows Update, plus high-priority updates and applicable service packs for Windows Small Business Server, Windows Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Windows SharePoint Services, and other Microsoft applications. By using the Automatic Updates feature of Microsoft Update, you can receive notification when critical updates become available for your computer, and you can choose whether to install them automatically.

Follow these steps to help keep your server up to date:
  1. Visit the Microsoft Update Web site and install the client software.
  2. Allow Microsoft Update to scan your server, and then install all updates.
  3. Return to this page and install the important service packs listed in item 2.
