Projects & Plans
Each national forest
and grassland is governed by a management plan
in accordance with the National
Forest Management Act (NFMA). These plans set management, protection,
and use goals and guidelines. Monitoring conditions on a forest or grassland
ensures projects are done in accordance with plan direction, and determines
effects that might require a change in management.
Forest ProjectsInformation on current and completed projects, including scoping notices, environmental analysis documents, and decision documents. The Forest's current quarterly Schedule of Proposed Actions (SOPA) report. Mailing ListsThe Forest maintains different mailing lists. We have lists for forest planning (revision), the quarterly SOPA report, and specific projects. For more information about our mailing lists, please visit the Mailing Lists page. Forest Plan MonitoringThe Forest Plan requires that the Forest prepare annual Monitoring and Evaluation Reports.
